So the surgery is over and done with (thank God) and I will be recuperating for the next week if not more. In my case we opted for this surgery in the hope that it will put an end to my suffering of the last two-to-three years.
While it is not an experience one looks forward to, I realised over the past three days that I don't mind the following:
1. I can be in bed till 10 am or 12 noon and nobody will say a word.
2. I am enjoying everybody hovering around me with `yeh khale please' and `yeh zaroori hai' etc. I like the husband fussing over me :D
3. Friendships are more valuable than ever. Thank You.
4. All I do the entire day is read; stare at the wall right in front of me; walk for 5 mins and believe me every step seems like a Marathon; only entertainment is Kejriwal's antics (Everytime I listen to him I am reminded of the saying `the more things change, the more they remain the same'); and sleep, of course.
5. I know it is absurd to say this but I am not minding this time of doing nothing. Mostly I am putting my mind to think about the future course of action etc.
6. Last but not the least, till yesterday my daughter was listening to me; treating me with sympathy and responding with a smile. Hope this continues. :D
More later...
