So, almost ten days of this year are over. Last year was a breeze...before I realised it was over and done with. This year I feel energy and an urgency to finish the projects which needed to be finished a long time back. Maybe I am conscious of this passage of time because it is just the beginning of the year and it might fade as we move from one month to another. Right now what I can say is that the last ten days have been fairly productive both on professional and personal front. Hope this trend continues. :).
The theme of the month is ban on shopping. Even if there is 50 percent off, even if I have discount coupon on Myntra or any other online store. Strangely I was not going overboard (I am comparing with my friends and sister!!) but I do not like my preoccupation with it. I had got into the habit of checking out discounts on online stores and in the real world as well. I didn't like it so have decided to stop doing it. This whole month I am not buying anything whatsoever. The only exception is a book (come on, it is not exactly a fashion buy).
I was fairly successful today when I went to mall because kiddoo wanted to buy a book. There was 50% off at Mango. I checked it out but didn't buy anything. WOW. Secondly, there was a sale at Marks & Spencers...again I entered and was nearly seduced by a maroon top. I picked it up twice but finally kept it back. Sigh!! I do deserve a pat on my back. I will not, I repeat, I will not be tempted by anything this month.
