My daughter came to me yesterday and said, "I really wish you were not working..." She left the sentence hanging and went about her work. I felt a lump forming in my throat but I didn't ask her why she said that in the first place. I guess howsoever hard a working woman tries to make up for the fact that she will not be with her child the entire day, she is likely to hear this at least once (if not more). It was not nice...
