I am alive, I am alive...

I havent written anything for two full months. There is so much happening in my life, both professionally and personally, that I havent been able to find any time to write. This is no excuse really...one finds time if one really wants to...

Professionally my role has expanded which means that I am super busy. Secondly, I was travelling. I was in London and Scotland for good 10 days and thoroughly enjoyed myself. Scotland is awesome and a must visit. I thought Khushi would like London more than Edinburgh but quiet otherwise. In spite of watching Lion King musical and visiting Legoland in London, she thought Edinburgh was a more likeable place. I know it is cliched but Scotland is just the most beautiful place I have ever visited (and this includes Switzerland). All you see is unspoilt greenery. And I didnt see even a single telecom tower in Edinburgh, which so spoil the landscape in India.

London is ainvayi ainvayi...too crowded, rude people (nothing compared to Delhite, I must say). The highlight of London visit was a visit to the town of Bath and Stonehenge. Bath is a small town made up of just about 30,000 inhabitants (the locality I am staying in Delhi has more inhabitants than this). It is just the prettiest little town where most of the buildings are made up of slightly yellow stone. I had too much of fish and chips during the trip and was quiet sick of it by the end of it. I started missing dal chawal after a week of fried eggs in breakfast, macdonald burger for lunch and cuppa noodles for dinner. We did have Indian food sometimes but mostly this was the routine.

This was khushi's first trip to Europe. We crossed another milestone during this trip. We celebrated Khushi's 10th birthday in London and she was obviously super happy. But as soon as we came back, we had to start working in fifth gear to finish her school project on Tsunami (in spite of best efforts we were unable to complete the entire work before leaving for our trip. The vacation hangover is totally over now and all I think of, besides work of course, is about HCF, LCM, fractions etc. Yes, Khushi is in fifth standard and I am extremely reluctant to start tuition but Maths...a big OMG. Increasingly find that I am unable to cope with this.

Will post pics and a detailed post soon.

'Great to see u back on your blog. You were abroad having fun and here I thought that you left your job and migrated to moon (you once told me that you wanted to become an astronaut). Even checked your linkedin page to find your new coordinates. btw most of my comments are post-four-down-wisdom and therefore any attempt to find 'meanings' will be futile...
