As the year 2015 comes to a close I look back at my first full year of freelancing with mixed emotions. While at one end I seem to have done quite okay with clips from some of the best publications in the world, including The Guardian (yes, yes, yes!! :) ), Gulf News, Caravan, Education World and Womens eNews, beside others. I have also written quite extensively on telecom for Telecom Talk, Business World and of course Light Reading. All this means I have earned much more than my last salary.
What really occupies my thoughts nowadays is how to increase my income in 2016. There are only so many hours in a day. Either I spend more time on writing (not really possible.. ) or I hike my rate, which is tough anytime but all the more tough when the industry is forever going down. So how do I increase my income in the coming year...Am thinking of some things but lets see. Watch this space for more in the coming year.
