Haircut, ear infection and all that...

I got a haircut last week. So? What's the big deal and why am I telling you? The thing was I was suffering from ear infection and had to cover my ears and head at all times. So, there really was no point in wasting money on haircut when you are barely able to wash your hair. In fact, I was laughing even as I was getting it done.

But the point is that I felt good about getting it done...I felt little less sick; stopped indulging in self-pity and laughed and smiled after about a week of feeling morose and being locked in home. Whether it was appreciated by others is not so much the issue. So, now I know why a woman in burkha would still want to apply that hot lipstick or get her clothes stitched according to the latest fashion.

Hmmm...interesting question and a topic for a separate post. Initially I started cutting my hair (used to cut them myself) in class X, XI and XII... Once I entered college, I started getting them trimmed but it was a constant struggle and I recall doing it only becos of peer pressure. About 3 yrs back I started a hair cut only because I wanted to...

It is difficult to explain but even now sometimes I dont get a haircut for as long as 7-9 months. But I have always got it done when I want to change something in my life or attitude...for instance ear infection. Another instance is when i was in particularly difficult job (read boss) and one fine day decided to leave within a month with or without a job...that day I got a haircut (a really short one).
